The Council of Ontario Medical Officers of Health, the Association of Supervisors of

Public Health Inspectors of Ontario and the Ontario Branch of the Canadian

Institute of Public Health Inspectors are calling on the Province of Ontario to amend

the Health Protection and Promotion Act and/or the Food Premises Regulation to

require mandatory certification of food handlers in a manner that is consistent with

the Ontario Public Health Standards Food Safety Protocol.
