| MOHLTC to Fund 25 Student PHI Positions |
Financial Support for Practicum Field Placements for Student Public Health Inspectors
To assist health units in providing field placement practicum positions for public health inspector students, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care is offering 100% one-time funding to health units to create 25 field placement positions in their organizations.
These practicum placements must be a minimum of 12 weeks duration, and be completed by March 31, 2011. The host health unit must meet the requirements set out by the Board of Certification of the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI). Details of the requirements can be found in the BOC Practicum Guide (2010).
