Environmental Public Health Week was established in 2003 with the aim of recognizing the work of Environmental Public Health Professionals in Ontario and across Canada, and improving the visibility of the profession to the general public.

This annual week of recognition is held the third week of January, with the dates corresponding with the incorporation date of CIPHI.

This year EPHW is January 18-24, 2010, celebrating the idea of Hygiene - Getting Back to Basics
